Taste in music

I have a really varied taste in music, I dig obscure/not so obscure 80's stuff, barely there minimal techno, uplifting funky house, singer/songwriters with heart, trance anthems for that euphoric feel and pure pop that makes me walk with a bounce. And so much more.

But! Yes, I know that I listen to mostly garbage, mainstream mass produced sick but I can't help that I like it. I know that it's not ground breaking or highly original but at the right place and occassion I love it. If I had to choose between the Beatles or Jedward I would not hesitate pulling the trigger on those annoying irish gits. Björk before Britney, Massive Attack before Madonna.

But there is a place in my heart for all, high and low. Crap and quality. Why should one have to choose?
I have a couple of people to thank for introducing great sounds to me, 15 years ago I was deep down in the Cherion pop puddle, but I got help. But I will not let go of my younger self who knew all the lyrics to Billies top hits and could name all the members in 5ive, Spice Girls and BSB :)

My first album, the very first I ever bought with my own money was the debut album of scottish greats GARBAGE. Still to this day I hail that album as the best ever. First single I bought was the Fugees "Killing me softly". The second was I think, Freddie Mercurys "Living on my own"......in our play room in the country house I grew up in we had 2 cassette tapes: Metallicas "Black Album"....and Roxettes "Look Sharp" (wich I recently bought on vinyl :)

Vive Le Difference! Vive Le....ehum....Musique!
