WATCH/LiSTEN: Kent - Celsius (English Version)
(YOuTuBE)
The best track (well it's a tiebreak between this one and 747!) from their third album, "Isola". Saw them live, in Stockholm years and years ago and it's still the best concert I've ever been too.
Today we will be having a french breakfast
(not really sure what that actually is...black coffee and cigarettes?
If that's it, then my breakfast is french everyday :)
Hoping it there will be croissants, pain chocolate....
and a pack of Gitanes :)
Just as good as the swedish version. The biggest
band in Sweden, and if the rest of the world had any
taste in music at all they would have been superstars
all over the planet.
Norwegian band that had a small amount of
success in the eighties. This song got a decent place
on the iconic chart, Tracks, in Sweden. The original
version is good...but the live version is great!
This will rock me to sleep tonight. Tomorrow I'll start the remix search, if I have time before work that is.
Can't find this track on Spotify, nor on Deezer....so that sucks. Guess I'll buy it on Beatport.
Started out in Sweden with "Drömhus", a pop/house music group singing in swedish. After a couple of years and a couple of hits she quit the band and disappeared to London. She released an album as a solo artist and it was a minor success. The she was quiet for a couple of years, and just when she was starting to appear on "Where are they Now?" lists she released "Put them High" and "Take Me Away" with STONEBRIDGE. She was back on the top of the charts. Since then, 2004, she's worked with Pitron & Sanna, Electro-Junkies, The Mac Project and also released a couple of singles as a solo artist. I really like THERESE. Her voice is not great, but she sings with feeling. Still waiting for her REAL breakthrough, she's the Queen of House Music! (Hmm, do I come across as a bit obsessed? That's because I am :)

Was quite gobsmacked (haha, love that word)...when I read that Nithin Sawhney had a secret past, as a comedian! He was in "Goodness Gracious Me" (wich got the bizarr/slightly racist title "Curry Curry Nam Nam" in Sweden) on BBC.
Not a super fan of Tiesto, but he's a nice guy. Served him at a dinner, thrown in his honor...it was him and like 20 blondes....who had no idea who he was. Kinda funny.
Someone I DO like is LUCiANA! Been nuts about her since I heard "Yeah Yeah" by BODYROX.
One of the songs that helped TEARS FOR FEARS break in the U.S. Was only 2 years old then, so I heard it first when I watched "DONNiE DARKO". The same movie contains a melancholic cover of their song "MAD WORLD". Like the original better :)
Don't know how many times this song was on repeat on my stereo, think I had a whole casette tape with only this song over and over and over :) I was like 11, OK?!
The best track from his album "2", a cover album with classic french songs...some of them his own work. He sings with Axel Bauer , Natasha St.Pierre, Obispo, Patrick Bruel, Calogero, Marc Lavoine and other french superstars.
Watch the movie "The Music Never Stopped", directed by Jim Kohlberg, then download the soundtrack! Greatful Dead, The Tulips, Buffalo Springfield and other good stuff!
Getting more and more hits on my blog. Weird. So if you happen to check this blog out (bu accident or whatever blah blah blah) leave a message, post a comment! But you know the saying: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all! :) Always on the look-out for new music, so pls let me know if you have something you think I'd like! Cheers! Mike
Heard Kate Ryans version first, the video was filmed in Bruxelles at one of my favourite spots. We danced our asses off to this song at "L'Homo Erectus".....the best little bar/club on Rue FlamingQueen just beside Grand Place! Then one night I heard the original, thought it was a retro remix....but it was the original with Mylene Farmer. Became obsessed with Mylene Farmer and forced my boyfriend at the time translate her lyrics for me :)
Like the sound, the lyrics but the vocals....not so much. Could be better if someone else had done it. But I like it. Karin Ström – Betydelsen av rum

Once a Sugababe, but ditched the bitches and went solo. Did not have very much success, on the charts, but got quite good reviews. Heard something about the three original Sugababes getting back together again....dare I hope :)
Making memories take me How horrible they can make me See it over freezing Puffing and wheezing We all know When we have acted low Can feel it from below A belt of luck come over And the pain's overrated Composed But i don't know do you And the chain's so serrated And the proof Well i don't know do you Will i ever loose These old catholic blues That direct my shoes Give me the strength to choose I feel all low The fear won't grow If i show It just went and go But i don't know Everything you fed me I take it on delivery Waved it of to lift me Your all far too slippery What you gonna give me (What you gonna give me) What i have To get through...
Remixed by a friend of mine and I made video for it (made...hmmm, I STOLE a trailer from youtube, a dutch movie about 2 youg boys falling in love and then just plonked a new audio track on to it.). Great tune.
ItaLove is a collaboration between Blix (DOMENiCER), Laroxx and dr Mateo. Inspired (quite obviously) by Koto, Miko Mission, Ken Lazlo they deliver italo disco with retro yet modern feel! LoveLoveLoveLove!
